Supporting “High Environmental Value” (HVE) wine-making certification: AFC cooperative AHVE Project

Implementing and promoting economically competitive and environmentally friendly growing methods, combined with traditional expertise (application of the most advanced Integrated Agriculture and “High Environmental Value Farming” standards)

Rémy Martin has been working towards environmentally responsible farming for many years now. The aim is to raise awareness among winemakers in the Alliance Fine Champagne (AFC) cooperative—which supplies Rémy Martin with eaux-de-vie—of integrated agriculture and the AHVE (“High Environmental Value Farming”) standards.

In 2015, 488 winemakers, account for 60% of AFC cooperative members, attended CSR information sessions. In addition, 51 winemakers were trained in AHVE, and 19 are undergoing training with the assistance of the chambers of agriculture. Two winemakers have been AHVE 3-certified, and two are undergoing the certification process. 153 winemakers have also expressed a wish to attend the AHVE 1 training sessions.
