PASSOÃ

Much more than just passion

In 1985, Cointreau’s Master Distiller journeys to Brazil in search of a specific variety of orange to create a new recipe. On this trip, he discovers an incredible fruit: the maracuja or passion fruit. Its originality and exceptional flavors overshadow everything else. Back in France, the country’s most precious gift inspires him to create a unique product: Passoã, a passion fruit-flavored liqueur.

With its fruity flavors and flamboyant color, this original recipe has stood out for the past 30 years

So with its fruity flavors and flamboyant color, this original recipe has stood out for the past 30 years. And who could forget the legendary and mysterious, deep-black bottle?

Passoã quickly became the key ingredient in the most exotic cocktails. Unusually easy to blend with all varieties of hard and soft drinks, trailblazers are given free rein to create.

Since December 1st, 2016, the Rémy Cointreau group continues to operate Passoã activities through its joint venture with Lucas Bols.
